"This internship taught me so much about how policy really works and helped me grow both professionally and personally. I left DC with new skills, more confidence, and a better idea of where I want to take my career. I highly encourage students that were a part of a Migrant and Seasonal Head Start to apply to this internship. Working and being in these spaces is what our parents wanted us to do when they took their chance to come to this country. My advice is to be curious, speak up, and take every chance to learn.
