The National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association (NMSHSA) is a proud recipient of a $57.3 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to support the Farm and Food Workers Relief Grant Program.
MSHS Research Practice Partnership
This project is structured as a collaborative research-practice partnership. MSHS providers, families, and policy makers will help shape the questions asked, the kinds of analyses conducted, and the dissemination methods deployed.
Parent Ambassador Program
The purpose of this flagship program is to help farm workers develop on substantive issues such: as civic engagement, COVID-19 pandemic response, and advocacy. Through their participation in the program trainings, parent ambassadors will also be provided the opportunity to be heard on a national level.
Healing Voices Project
“Healing Voices” piloted the use of technology to engage farmworkers and bring them together in Virtual Support Groups that use the power of storytelling to support healing, teach workers their rights, build community connections, and inspire change.
