At the Finish Line
After school ended early for me, the first week of May, I remember thinking to myself, “Wow, I am finally meeting everyone in person soon. I will be in New York City and Washington, D.C. living my best first moments of the summer.” When I received my flight confirmation, I felt my heart surge with excitement as the blood rushed to my chest.

Highlights from My Internship
A highlight during my time with UnidosUS in the Higher Educational Policy Project was having the chance to work closely with my mentor, Amanda Martinez, Policy Analyst, who guided and assisted me with my work. She was very knowledgeable and approachable when I had questions and needed extra help.
The Journey Is Never-Ending
Throughout my journey, I had an amazing team motivating and mentoring me and now I want nothing more than to pay it forward. These fortunate experiences have set me on a path to achieve great things that I know I’m capable of and it is true that no one person can solve all the world’s problems, but what I can do is make that little corner of the world where I am just a little bit better.
